Medicare part D

Welcome back everybody. This is goldhealthadvisors.com. In today’s video we will go over Medicare Part D, better known as your prescription drug plan. What do you need to know about prescription drug plans, specifically stand-alone prescription drug plans? First, they are paired with Medicare supplement plans. Once you have a supplement, you need to purchase/enroll into a stand-alone drug plan. They will have a monthly premium, and they do have copays based on the medication that you are prescribed. You can, or I should say, you’re afforded the opportunity to switch during the open enrollment. For those of you who don’t take any prescription drugs are still recommended to enroll into a plan. What you need to take away from that comment is you will accrue a penalty for every month you don’t have a plan. To learn more about that and prescription drug plans, feel free to reach out to me at goldhealthadvisors.com.
